Welcome to you, the friends and fans of Flight of the Raptor. If you have been following us for a while, then welcome back and we hope you enjoy our new improved website. This site will incorporate all of the latest forms of communication between facebook, twitter, and blogger to be tied back to this website. This will be an ongoing process, so please let us know what you like or what we can improve to keep you up to date on the most recent shows, new additions to our avian family, and other interesting tidbits about the natural world we all live in. If you are finding us for the first time, then we hope you will enjoy following us on our journey as we seek to bring the wonders of raptors or birds of prey to their eager fans across the country. Our cast consists of trained hawks, falcons, and owls (and a brittney spaniel named Ra) that fly to demonstrate their natural behaviors and abilities using falconry techniques. These birds may fly solo as peregrine falcons and saker falcons often do, or they may fly in a cast, or group working cooperatively as harris hawks often do. In addition to learning about the natural behavior of birds of prey, the programs are often interpreted to incorporate the settings such as renaissance festivals which highlight the role of raptors and their relationships with man over the centuries, or Native American pow-wows which emphasize the importance of animals in Native American culture. Flight of the Raptor is also available for private and educational school events So please join us in the quest for knowledge, the appreciation of these magnificent creatures, and a few laughs along the way, because life is often full of surprises if you stop long enough to let a few come your way. ;)
